Entities
- HunterThis is you! Walk into enemies to attack.
- ScavengerThe classic threat. You'll see this one on every floor.
- SprinterThis pink diamond is quick and can close distance fast.
- HaulerMight be slow but can deal a lot of damage.
- EchoViolet diamond. Idle until you get too close.
- BossThe final challenge — defeat to win.
Loot & exit
- ScrapThis green pip is currency that can be spent in the workshop.
- PartThis blue pip stands for gear that can be equipped at the Station.
- ExitThis amber marker is the way out — either to the next floor or back to the Station.
Props
Props block movement. Use them as cover; walk around them.
- CrateWooden box. Useful as cover, but blocks movement.
- BarrelLike crates — blocks movement, but you can hide behind them.
- TerminalConsole is still glowing. Something is still powering it?
- DebrisScattered fragments that can't be stepped on.
Mutations
Altars drop three choices per floor that you have to pick one and stays with you for the run. Most options have a cost and a handful are pure buffs.
- Grafted Carapace
- +6 max HP, +1 damage taken.
- Salvaged Edge
- +2 attack damage, -1 max HP.
- Subdermal Mesh
- -1 damage taken.
- Adrenal Stim
- +3 HP on kill, -3 max HP.
- Ferro-Blood
- +3 HP on descent.
- Photoreactive Skin
- +6 max HP, -1 attack damage.
- Salvaged Neural Cord
- +3 attack damage, +1 damage taken.
- Overclock Cortex
- +2 attack damage, +2 HP on kill, -4 max HP.
- Glass Nerve
- +4 attack damage, +2 damage taken.
- Calcified Marrow
- +10 max HP, -2 attack damage.
- Bellows Rig
- +4 HP on descent, -1 attack damage.
- Parasitic Graft
- +4 HP on kill, +1 damage taken.
Signal classes
Each signal is tagged with one of six origins and classes, all of which have different effects, themes, and spawn pools.
- Military
- Bunkers, silos, installations. Sealed from inside. Command chain gone.
- Corporate
- Labs, arcologies, R&D facilities. Proprietary processes that won't stop.
- Civilian
- Ruins, hospitals, transit tunnels. People lived here.
- AI
- Datacenters, spires, uplink arrays. Broadcasts without operators.
- Unknown
- Anomalies, sealed vaults, impact craters. Signature matches nothing catalogued.
- Faction
- Outposts, scavenger camps, cult compounds. Something is still organizing in there.
Runs & the Station
- Signal ID
- Every run has a shareable ID (e.g.
XG-MZS-WARP). Send the link to a friend so they can try the exact same site. - Descent
- Seven floors with a boss at the end. Defeat the boss to complete the run.
- Mutations
- Altars give you a choice of 3 mutations. Pick one and it sticks with you for the run.
- Death
- You keep banked scrap and any parts collected during the run, but lose half the scrap you collected this run.
- Scrap & upgrades
- You can use scrap to upgrade yourself with better stats in the workshop.
- Gear
- Gear will occasionally drop when defeating enemies. Equip it at the Station to receive special stats.
